Located in The Haus Restaurant, The Walnut Rooms are two adjoining spaces full of character overlooking our Wishing Well Courtyard, which has an abundance of old-world charm.
Named after the historic Walnut Tree that decorates the Courtyard, this space is perfect for all types of business events and private celebrations.
The famous painting at the entrance to our Walnut Rooms, titled The Camp on Wonoka Creek, was acquired by the Duffield family, for a staggering $110,000 – the most a watercolour painting has ever sold for in South Australia. Painted by Heysen on a journey to the Flinders Ranges in 1932, it depicts a stockman resting with his horse and sheep under large gum trees. It is believed to be one of the artist’s favourites from his extensive collections.
